Symphony in the Flint Hills’ Field Journals celebrate the history, culture and ecology of the last stand of the Tallgrass Prairie through art, essays, and poetry. Welcome to Games in Learning and Teaching, an academic journal aimed at sharing research about the use of games in educational settings. GILT is an open-source publication, freely available for use by students, teachers, game designers, and researchers. Our goal is to establish and build a community of like-minded ludologists and educators who recognize the value of using games in learning and teaching.
GILT is home to a variety of articles, including research, game reviews, and practitioner reflections. Authors include professors, designers, teachers, administrators, instructional coaches, parents, graduate students, undergraduate students, and others. We welcome writers from around the world to share their work with us; let this be a place for collaboration and community.
Open Call for Papers
The editors would like to extend an open invitation and call for papers. We are seeking submissions on all topics related to games, game-based learning, game studies, and ludology.

Urban Food Systems Symposium
urban food systems symposiumThe Urban Food Systems Symposium is a biennial event that brings together a national and international audience of academic and research-oriented professionals to share and gain knowledge on urban food systems and the role they play in global food security. This symposium includes knowledge on: urban agricultural production, local food systems distribution, urban farmer education, urban ag policy, planning and development, food access and justice, and food sovereignty. The Urban Food Systems Symposium Proceedings offer presenters an opportunity to document their research, connect with food systems professionals, and make their findings accessible to a broader audience.
